After opening in May, the new $280 million Northside Hospital Cherokee is celebrating “100 inspiring days” while looking ahead to future growth in the county.

From April until July, Northside Hospital Cherokee has increased its average daily patient care by 25 percent. The hospital has also delivered 5 percent more babies, had 18.5 percent more Emergency Room visits and 4 percent more surgeries.

“The kind of numbers we have seen in just 100 days is nothing short of inspiring. But as incredible as it’s been to witness, it’s not surprising either,” said Billy Hayes, CEO of Northside Hospital Cherokee. “The surging growth in Cherokee and the surrounding areas is precisely why we built this new facility. And while the old hospital will always occupy a special place in our hearts, we knew the Cherokee community wanted – and deserved – a hospital that was able to meet their needs today and grow for their needs tomorrow.”
