The new Northside Hospital Cherokee is our commitment to the future. Construction officially kicked off in March 2015.
The new hospital was developed on the new Northside Cherokee Boulevard, off I-575 at the Georgia Highway 20 exit. With its prominent location, the hospital has been designed to meet the community’s health care needs today and in the future.
The new Northside Hospital Cherokee sits on more than 50 acres that also includes a medical office building and 1,650+ parking spaces (including a 900-space parking deck).
Way finding is much easier than in traditional hospitals -- the recurrent design of nurse stations as "anchors", along with visual color cues, makes hallway navigation simpler.
We are honored to have worked with such great partners to make the new hospital a reality. The architects are HDR, Inc. and Howell Rusk Dodson and the general contractor is Batson-Cook Construction. Other partners include Inglett & Stubbs Electrical Construction, Collins Project Management, Clark Patterson Lee, K2J, Inc., Batchelor & Kimball, Inc., and Art Plumbing Company.
Major features of the new hospital include an advanced surgery center, a Cancer Institute, as well as a distinct Women’s Center. The hospital also offers robotic surgery, a sports medicine program, 24-hour adult and pediatric emergency services, Heart and Vascular Institute / cath lab, access to clinical trials and radiology services.
The new Northside Hospital Cherokee opened May 6, 2017. This is an exciting time for Northside and the Cherokee County area.
